About me

Clay Bandy’s passion for music ignited at a young age, beginning his journey as a youth band drummer. His talent and dedication quickly propelled him onto national and international stages, touring with renowned worship leader Dr. Ron Kenoly. Over time, Clay immersed himself in diverse musical styles, collaborating with bands that explored Funk, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, Reggae, R&B, Blues, and Rock. His exceptional skills caught the attention of mentor and friend Ron E. Beck, former drummer for Tower of Power, who invited him to join both the Soul Cry Band and the Ron E. Beck Soul Revue.

Clay’s career has been marked by performances alongside iconic artists and groups, including Bay Area R&B/Blues diva E.C. Scott, Lenny Williams, Lakeside, Shanice, The Whispers, The Wailers, Angie Stone, Eddie M (Saxiphonist for Shelia E & Prince), Tony Lindsay (of Santana), and Chaka Khan, among others.

Clay has broadened his musical repertoire to include DJing at a diverse range of events, from private parties and weddings to corporate functions, business mixers, and nightclub engagements. He currently holds residencies as a solo DJ, performs with bands, and collaborates in a dynamic Drum and DJ duo with some of the Bay Area’s most talented DJs and musicians.
